Nope, weyermannshaus is it for parks in bern. not a bad park but way the f*ck out of the way. Insel hospital has some good stuff, and there's a couple spots downtown for 2 or 3 steps, in front of the kursaal there's a curved ledge...uhhh...it really kinda sux. |

| What about the rest of Switzerland? I would love to find a good half-pipe or bowl to skate. |

Hi I'm Franzi
If you search vertramps or bowls in Switzerland is not easy to find one, so you have to travel.
Bowls you can find a concrete in Lugano, an indoorbowl made of wood in Lausanne, a new one of vertical in Aigle.
A concrete in Sattel, but they had some years ago a really deep pool, but this isn't existing now, on his place is now a beach volleyball thing!!! What the f*ck...
and the smaller bowl is next to this beach volley thing and full with sand! An other bowl you find in Wattwil and a really small one is in Grüningen. But this bowl in Grüningen have a size like a bathtube, its really small.
Vertramps, the best you will find is indoor in Basel (www.pumpwerk-bs.ch) its 3,80meters high (maybe 0,40meters of Vert) and 10meters wide, I life since end of 2004 in Basel and skate regular on this ramp, an other smaller one you find indoor in Montreux, indoor and outdoor in Lausanne, in Sattel, outdoor at Tony Molkerei in Zürich, ähhhhm, hmm, I know there are more vertramps in Switzerland, but al of this are very smal and the most of them are not skateable, because the wood have bigger holes as my wheeles (60mm) or there isn't a table, or there isnt a covering on the ramp ... But I don't know 100% of al vertramps in the whole country. Maybe you find an other good one.
But if you want come to Basel to skate the Vertramp there contact me please at www.franziskastolz.beep.de. I'm every time skating alone, because there are not more vertskaters, so I'm happy if theres an other vertskater to have a funny session.
Let's rock Franzi

ok, well i don really know all the buildings either...you just have to go down there and wander around. There's tons of stairs, curbs, ledges, rails...just look around you will find something to keep you busy.
but to get you started, if you are on laupenstr. coming from banhof turn left on freiburgstr. (the main intersection) then take the next left, on your left there's a sweet 10er with a curved ledge. enjoy |
