| I've surfed all over San Diego county, a little bit in Baja, Ireland, Costa Rica and Ecuador. San Diego is fun...a good variety of breaks. Unfortunately it gets so crowded! Baja has some good spots and is relatively uncrowded. The water can be freezing though sometimes. Ireland was cool. I wouldn't have ever thought I would surf there. It was a suprisingly sunny day, fairly warm water (with a full-suit), a nice sandy beach and we were the only ones in the water. The spot looked good, like it probably peels in a swell, unfortunately there was no swell that day...but it was still fun. Ecuador, at least the spot where I went, was pretty messy, sectiony etc. Costa Rica has to be my favorite at this point. It was probably 10 years ago, so maybe it's changed, but really nice waves, uncrowded, a variety of spots, body temp water, good food, cool people...I loved it. So, although I would like to go to Tahiti or something like that, my vote goes for Central America. |

Enjoy life! |

I surf mainly in Southern California, which gets swells from south during summer and north during the winter. When we are in transitional seasons sometimes its really peaky and nice. I've been all over Mexico, baja mexico, fiji, costa rica, hawaii, cook islands, puerto rico, but I still really like Hawaii. |

| yeeaaah...now were talking, do you really like hawaii better than fiji? I heard that hawaii is all uptight with the hardcore locals game and all over developed with hi-rise hotels. I'd rather be in a hut in tavarua wouldnt you? ah, but im just dreamin anyway. |
